Total deposits and other payments received so far

Your calculation

Partially paid
Final order total
$190.00
Payments received
$60.00
Still due
$130.00

Amounts are in the same currency; changing the currency label does not convert exchange rates. Confirm actual payments in your records.

How the calculator works

Enter your subtotal, delivery fee, discount and the total amount of money already received. The calculator first determines the final order total, then subtracts payments received. If the customer has overpaid, that is shown separately instead of displaying a negative amount due.

  1. Final total = subtotal + delivery fee − discount.
  2. Amount due = max(0, final total − amount received).
  3. Overpayment = max(0, amount received − final total).

Worked example

A clothing seller agrees on $180 for an order, adds $15 for delivery and gives a $5 discount. The customer has paid $60 so far. The final total is $190; the remaining balance is $130. The prefilled example above uses these values.

This is an arithmetic aid, not a payment processor. Record actual receipts and confirm the customer's payment independently.

Can I use another currency?

Yes. Choose the currency label that matches your records. The calculator does not convert currencies or fetch exchange rates. All amounts must be entered in the same currency with no more than two decimal places.

How do I track the balance over time?

After each new payment, increase the amount received and recalculate. If you handle many orders, keep the payment status and balance alongside each customer order, so you do not need to reconstruct it from old messages.
